These hens are 16 weeks old and are at point of lay. They are of mixed breed, Light Sussex, Legbars, Brackel and Orpingtons.

These hens are bred on our premises and are cared for to the highest standards. They are reared from hatching, being handled regularly and fed chick crumb and growers pellets until they are ready to move on. We sell them when they are at least 16 weeks, to ensure that they will start laying within a couple of weeks of arriving at their new home.
The transportation process will often affect laying if they have started early, so please allow some settling in time before you expect eggs!
